Brigidine College, St Ives was established by the Congregation of Brigidine Sisters over 50 years ago.
In 1999 the College was incorporated as a Company Limited by Guarantee and a Board appointed, with responsibility for governance and leading the College in pursuit of its Mission:
“Brigidine College St Ives commits itself to education that is centred on the Gospel and is faithful to the Catholic community and the Brigidine heritage.”
The Board is appointed by the Trustees of the Sisters of the Brigidine Congregation.
Parents are represented on the College Board, as are the Brigidine Sisters and other members of the Catholic educational community. Board members bring a broad range of professional experience and expertise to the Board’s deliberations.
The Principal of the College is appointed by the Board and is charged with the responsibility of administering the College.
