Special Needs
The Special Needs Framework at Brigidine addresses all students with special learning needs. Some Students require some variation from the standard teaching and learning in the mainstream classroom. This could include students who have pastoral needs which impact on their educational performance.
Two full time Special Education teachers, teachers aides, itinerant teachers and consultants support mainstream teachers to differentiate their classroom teaching, provide dedicated life skills programs and withdrawal of students on a needs basis.
Honours Programme
The Honours Programme aims to encourage, support and reward students in the pursuit of holistic excellence and to develop integral leadership qualities. A highly challenging and broad ranging program students in the top academic stream have participated in the Future Problem Solving Program. In 2008, two teams of Year 9 girls reached the National Finals in Melbourne where they were ranked in the top 15 teams in Australia within their Division.
