A Festival of Music

On 16, 17 and 18 August Brigidine College St Ives is opening its doors for a Festival of Music in the Murray Theatre. The Festival is made up of three Showcases: Strings, Band and Vocals. Each one features different groups and will include special guest performances.  All three evenings will run from 7pm until 8.30pm.

EVENT DETAILS

Strings Showcase Wednesday 16 August

The Strings Showcase features the impressive Brigidine String Orchestra along with some amazing solo items and the very talented Brigidine String Ensemble. Our special guest is Alumni Lindsay Gilroy, from the Class of 2000, who will perform a piano solo to top off the night.

Band Showcase Thursday 17 August

The Band Showcase features a number of bands from the Brigidine Music program, including the Senior Concert Band, the Junior Concert Band, Stage Band and our Flute Ensemble. Also performing for the very first time is the Brigidine College Alumni Concert Band. Topping this night off we have commissioned a composition from Zoe Gougousidis, performed by Natasha Williams, both Alumni from the Class of 2019.

Vocal Showcase Friday 18 August

The Festival would not be complete without a Vocal Showcase. It will feature a number of vocal groups from the Brigidine Music program, including our main Choir, the Junior Choir, Senior Choir, the Vocal Ensemble, Chamber Vocals and solo items. Our special guests for this evening are the Alumni Vocal Ensemble and soloist Molly Sutton from the Class of 2016.

Please join us for three evenings of music highlighting our talented students. We look forward to welcoming you all.
