I’m proud and excited to be the new Principal for Brigidine College in 2020.

Brigidine is a school infused with the importance of honouring individual strengths and talents and nurturing students to work collaboratively, looking outwards towards the world. In the role of Principal the opportunity to continue to drive this strong community forward, and shape the vision for the future of Brigidine, is a challenge I am excited to undertake.

My own background is in the Visual Arts, training as an Art Teacher and in the area of Arts Administration. I have always had a passion for teaching and working with school communities. I have been fortunate to work with a wide variety of school communities over the last 30 years. I believe in the importance of fostering creativity, innovation and courage both in a student’s approach to their learning and within their own lives.

I look forward to continuing the strong traditions and excellent academic culture that Brigidine is renowned for- an exceptional school where all learners and their talents are valued.

Our motto, Strength and Gentleness, is such a powerful statement for our times. Brigidine girls are called to be strong and sensitive leaders in their own lives and the lives of others – to be people of influence and compassion in their local and global communities.

I look forward to getting to know the staff and students and the wider community of Brigidine College. Together we will build on Brigidine’s great school spirit, outstanding reputation and the strength of our strong wellbeing and values-based approach. It’s important to me that school excellence is coupled with joy and optimism – where everyone has a place.

An education at Brigidine is an education that resonates with the world we live in. I look forward to creating opportunities for our students to continue to create meaningful partnerships that will develop them in all aspects of their lives.
