Laetitia Richmond Editorial 25 November 2022

I had the pleasure of attending the recent Brigidine Parents and Friends Annual General meeting held last week. It was a wonderful get-together for parents of Brigidine students that stretch across year groups from 7-12. What struck me was the sense of community, friendships, good humour and support for our college students and staff that are so evident in this group.

As a College community we are incredibly grateful for the generous support, time, and energy our Parents and Friends give to us. Thank you to our outgoing committee member Vera Evanian  for her valuable contribution.

As a college community, we have appreciated the Parents and Friends commitment to fundraising for us and their willingness to help create and extend the values of welcome and hospitality at Brigidine.

Brigidine College staff who actively support this group were also in attendance. Pip Inman who is our Alumni and Community Relations Coordinator, who is also a previous Brigidine parent and P&F President and Mandy Loomes  our Director of Community Engagement.

The vision, support and good humour of our Parents and Friends Committee echo throughout our whole Brigidine parent community. Thank you for your support of Brigidine staff as we journey with you and your daughters. We could not do the work we do without your partnership. We look forward to many opportunities to connect with you in 2023.

I would like to thank my Leadership team for their ongoing support during this year at Brigidine – Deputy Principals Ms Leone Smyth and Mr Brian Loughland, Directors – Mrs Liz May, Mrs Pamela Malone, Mrs Sia Mastro,  Mr Owen Vale, Ms Mandy Loomes and Business Manager Mr Richard Luxford. Thank you to the College Board and parents and families of Brigidine College for your continued support in all that we do.

Wishing all our students and their families a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy holiday break.  We look forward with anticipation of a new school year in 2023!
