COMMUNITY SUPPORT

There are many opportunities to be part of the Brigidine College community through parent support, gifts made by our local businesses, financial bequests or time and dedication by our broader community and partners.

Annual Giving

Our Annual Giving Appeal is an annual request to support Brigidine College St Ives financially and reflects our philosophy of everyone contributing what they can for projects which cannot be covered by school fees. To make a gift click on the Give here button. Whatever your gift it will be greatly appreciated.

In the past our supporters gifts have enabled us to purchase specialist equipment for our students across a range of study areas. They also contributed to our Scholarship and Bursary program supporting girls whose families are experiencing real hardship.

Support during hardship

With the onset of COVID-19 more families in our community than ever are now affected by difficult circumstances. Bursary support from our donors has helped us to help them by providing a Brigidine education which was out of reach due to their loss or hardship. So that financial circumstances do not prevent young women from accessing or continuing their education at Brigidine College we need help for our Bursary Fund.

Take a seat!

Whether it be for music, drama, film, public speaking or tertiary style lectures, our girls are inspired by the atmosphere of Murray Theatre. Your tax-deductible gift of $500 toward the Theatre will help us meet the costs of this exciting facility. In recognition of this gift, your daughter’s or your family’s name will be engraved on a plaque mounted on the seat. Leave a lasting sign of your time at Brigidine.

Bequests

Some of us choose to leave behind a very special gift which will make a difference to our treasured school. Through a Gift in your Will you can help build the future security of our College. Such a gift can assist in:

  • Maintaining the College’s excellence in education
  • Contributing to the College’s capital development
  • Providing a financial base to ensure the College’s future independence.
  • Naturally you will want to meet the needs of your family first and we recommend that you also seek legal advice regarding your affairs.

All these gifts help the College to raise funds for ongoing development and progress.

Sponsorships and
Corporate Partnerships

It is with the help of supporters, individual and corporate, that Brigidine College St Ives can be the treasured place that it is today. While our parents support the College through fee payments additional support given by donors and sponsors helps us to provide initiatives that make a difference to the educational experiences of the girls and their development.

We appreciate the gifts made by local businesses and sponsors and ask our community to give their support to our corporate partners in return where possible.

We thank all those who give to the College and the girls, whatever the size of the gift. Every gift is important and every gift is appreciated.

College Development

As with most independent schools, Brigidine College uses tuition fees to pay for the operating costs of the school. These fees do not include a levy for assets or provide capital for major projects or upgrades. Therefore, when major building projects are needed to maintain the standard of teaching, resources and to facilitate 21st century learning, the College relies on the generosity of its community to help fund and deliver those projects.

Building developments provide specialist facilities which benefit the students and create inspiring learning environments. This support is highly valued and integral to the successful and ongoing development and advancement of the facilities at our College. Our girls are now enjoying the benefits of these impressive facilities.
