Curriculum Dance – Advanced and Accelerated programs coming in 2026!
We are pleased to announce the launch of our Advanced Dance Program for Year 7 and Accelerated Dance Program for Year 9, starting in 2026! As a leading school in secondary school dance programs, the College will offer talented dancers a pathway to combine their dance passion and their everyday student life with a curriculum that now includes advanced dance as an elective option. This new elective option is by way of audition and a selection process due to the anticipated demand of this new offering.
Our Advanced and Accelerated Dance Programs are designed for students with demonstrated potential and a passion for dance. The programs will nurture and challenge students, focusing on enhancing technique, performance quality and compositional skills across a diverse range of dance styles including contemporary, jazz, ballet, lyrical, tap, hip hop and cultural styles. Students will also benefit from exposure to visiting artists and specialised training in areas such as anatomy, nutrition and conditioning.
The Advanced and Accelerated Dance Programs will also offer specialised training with professional coaching in Pilates, yoga and dance technique to develop and strengthen skills. Performance opportunities are integrated throughout the program, allowing students to showcase their progress and gain stage experience.

Entry and Audition Process
Auditions have been held for this Dance Program, however we are still open to receiving applications to join Brigidine College in 2026 and discuss this opportunity.
Excellence Scholarships
Registrations are now open for our Excellence Scholarships in Dance, Debating and Speech, Drama, Music and Sport. These Scholarships are open for entry into Years 7 to 11 in 2026, closing on Friday 29 August 2025.
